SAKURA GATE is a specialist Japanese education agency dedicated to connecting Japanese families with New Zealand public primary schools. We are the New Zealand Education Division of J-Frontier Investments Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based business development company established in 2011. SAKURA GATE was launched in 2026 , built not from a recruitment background, but from two decades of global experience and a father's firsthand conviction. Our founder, Masataka Iwata, brings a perspective that no other agency can offer: twenty years at Goldman Sachs Japan, Barclays Global Investors (now BlackRock), and UBS Investment Bank Tokyo, and a father who has enrolled his own children in five international schools across Japan, Vietnam, and New Zealand. SAKURA GATE was not built from a recruitment background. It was built from conviction. The conviction that Japanese children deserve the opportunity to grow up global, and that the families who make that journey deserve a guide who has walked the same path.
